How to set up a custom domain

Setting up a custom domain is a simple process that involves configuring DNS records. Follow these steps:

Open your EchowiseAI dashboard and navigate to your chatbot settings.
Go to Settings → Domain section.
Enter your custom domain (e.g., chat.yourdomain.com) and click "Add Domain".
Follow the DNS verification steps provided in the interface.

After adding your domain, you'll need to configure DNS records with your domain provider:

Step 1: Domain Verification

Add the provided TXT record to verify domain ownership. This step confirms that you control the domain.

Step 2: DNS Records

Configure either A records or CNAME records as instructed in your dashboard:

A Record: Points your domain directly to our servers
CNAME Record: Creates an alias to our hosting infrastructure

💡 DNS changes can take 24-48 hours to propagate worldwide. You can use the "Refresh" button in your domain settings to check verification status.

Important Notes

Contact your hosting/registrar support team when adding DNS records to avoid conflicts
Existing TXT/CNAME/A records may need to be updated or removed
Once verified, your chatbot widget will be available on your custom domain
You can delete and re-add domains if verification fails
