Lead Collection

Collect visitor information before they start chatting with your AI chatbot. The lead collection form helps you gather contact details like name, email, and phone number to better identify and follow up with your customers.

💡 The form appears before the chat interface and must be completed to access the chatbot.

How to Configure

Set up your lead collection form in just a few steps:

  1. Go to Settings → Leads in your dashboard
  2. Write a title/description for your form (supports Markdown)
  3. Enable the fields you want to collect:
    • Name - Visitor's full name
    • Email - Email address for follow-ups
    • Phone - Contact number
  4. Customize field labels and placeholders
  5. Set your submit button text
  6. Click Save changes

Configuration Options

Form Title

Add a welcoming message that explains why you're collecting information. You can use Markdown formatting and include links to your privacy policy.

Example: "Before we start, let us know how we can contact you..."

Field Settings

For each field (Name, Email, Phone), you can:

  • Enable/Disable - Use the toggle switch
  • Customize Label - Change the field title
  • Set Placeholder - Add helpful text inside the field

Submit Button

Customize the text on your submit button (e.g., "Start Chat", "Submit", "Continue").

Important Notes

  • At least one field must be enabled for the form to appear
  • To disable the form completely, turn off all field toggles
  • Visitors need to fill the form again when starting a new session
  • Form data appears in the Conversations section of your dashboard
  • When visitors provide their name, it replaces auto-generated conversation titles

Where to Find Collected Leads

View all collected leads in the Conversations section. Lead information appears in the conversation details sidebar, making it easy to see who you're talking to and follow up appropriately.
