Export Conversations

Export your chatbot conversations to CSV format for analysis, reporting, or record-keeping. Download all conversations and messages from any of your chatbots with just a few clicks.

How to Export Conversations

Follow these simple steps to export your conversation data:

  1. Select your chatbot - Choose the chatbot you want to export conversations from
  2. Navigate to Conversations - Go to the Conversations section in your dashboard
  3. Click the export button - Look for the ⬇️ (download) icon above the conversation list
  4. Choose timeframe - Select your desired date range:
    • All time - Export all conversations
    • Specific month - Export conversations from a particular month
  5. Download - Click "Export" to generate and download your CSV file

What's Included in the Export

Your CSV export contains comprehensive conversation data:

  • Conversation details - ID, start time, and duration
  • All messages - Complete message history with timestamps
  • Lead information - Name, email, and phone (if collected)
  • User data - Visitor information and session details
  • Metadata - Source, device type, and location data

Timeframe Selection

Choose the date range that best fits your needs:

  • All time - Perfect for comprehensive analysis or data migration
  • Monthly exports - Ideal for regular reporting or periodic reviews

File Format

Conversations are exported as CSV (Comma-Separated Values) files, which can be opened in:

  • Excel or Google Sheets for analysis
  • Database software for storage
  • Analytics tools for reporting
  • Any text editor for quick viewing

  • Regular exports - Set up a routine to export data monthly for consistent record-keeping
  • Secure storage - Store exported files securely as they contain customer conversation data
  • Data analysis - Use exported data to identify common questions and improve your chatbot
  • Backup purposes - Keep exports as backups of your conversation history

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues:

  • Large exports - For chatbots with many conversations, try exporting by month instead of all time
  • Download problems - Check your browser's download settings and ensure pop-ups are allowed
  • Empty exports - Verify that your selected timeframe contains conversations
